Experience is extremely important within the media industry. Many of the methods, skills and contacts are made through experience. This is something that industry professionals have told me, countless times. I have worked to gain as much experience as I can and you can read about just some of what I have been involved with below.

Television & Film

The oldest and one of the most respected broadcasters in the world. I spent a month working on CBBC's flagship children's programme, Blue Peter.

For my university, work-based learning module, I spent five weeks at Manchester-based corporate filmmaking  company, Toasted.

The Cat Radio

The official radio station of the University of Chester. I was the stations Content Director & Head of Online as well as one half of Marland & Rushton!

That's it! For now, at least...

Since August 2018, I have been working as a Third Assistant Director on Channel 4's, Hollyoaks. Produced by Lime Pictures.

For over two years, I provided production support for Lois, Meg & Oli on Heart North & Mid-Wales during the breakfast show and later on drive-time.

Another titan in commercial radio. I've experienced radio news at Key 103 and have successfully completed several courses from the Bauer Academy.

Home to some of the UK's biggest radio brands including Heart, Capital and Classic. I've worked at both their Manchester and Wrexham studios!
